1. What Happens When You Delete
When you request full account deletion, all data associated with your account is permanently removed from our systems. This includes your profile information, trip history, saved routes, vehicle data, fuel economy records, preferences, and account credentials. This action is irreversible — once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.
2. How to Delete In-App
You can delete your account directly from the WilderBound app. Navigate to Settings, then select Account, and choose Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm your identity and acknowledge that this action is permanent. Once confirmed, your account and all associated data will be scheduled for deletion.
3. How to Delete via Email
You may also request account deletion by sending an email from the address associated with your account. Include your account username or registered email address in the request.
4. Processing Timeline
Account deletion requests are processed within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete. During the processing period, your account will be deactivated and inaccessible. Some anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be linked back to your identity may be retained for service improvement purposes.
